Culture
The cultural section of the Embassy of Switzerland in Santiago is responsible for communicating Swiss values and projecting the image of a modern, contemporary Switzerland. It also promotes and supports cultural projects in Chile, bridging the disciplines of art, science, architecture, and design. The Embassy helps establish artistic networks between Switzerland and Chile, thereby strengthening cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries and fostering regional outreach through activities organized nationwide.
In Chile, the Embassy facilitates the presence of Swiss arts at various local events and festivals across all disciplines. It works closely with museums and cultural centers to showcase contemporary visual arts, featuring both artist collectives and solo exhibitions.
Many of these cultural projects are made possible through the Swiss Cultural Fund (FOCUS), a group of Swiss companies committed to promoting Swiss culture in Chile. For further information, please contact the Embassy at santiago@eda.admin.ch
SUIZPACIO
#SUIZSPACIO is a unique, large-scale cultural initiative launched in 2019 through a partnership between Switzerland and the Santiago Metro. It is defined as a platform for artistic and cultural exchange between Switzerland and Chile, aiming to foster cooperation and strengthen ties between the two countries.
SUIZSPACIO is located at the Ñuñoa metro station—a recently opened facility and one of the most modern in the entire network. Ñuñoa is also a district emblematic of the historical Swiss presence in Chile, home to institutions such as the Swiss Club and the Swiss School of Santiago.
